All,
Although I was not at the last meeting, these notes look fine.

Subject: February Minutes
Hi Everyone,
Attached are the February meeting minutes. Please review and let me know if you have changes. If not, I will submit a draft copy to Barbara at Town Hall.
I met with Julia Dundorf of the Carbon Challenge yesterday for a business meeting, but she was also one of the people that got the town resolution petitions moving. TheCarbon Challenge, in partnership with UNH and Clean Air Cool Planet have created a program that challenges NH residents to become more energy efficient, thus lowering our 'carbon output'. Their website has a carbon calculator and list of suggestions for reducing your energy use. The list allows you to check off things you are already doing or commit to do. By completing the form and sending it to the Carbon Challenge, they will track what NH people are doing to address global warming. They are very committed people and interested in spreading the positive message - like households are responsible for 40% of the greenhouse gases the US generate, so we have power, we can be 40% of the solution! Please take time to look at the website, so that the EE committee can talk about whether we (as a town) would like to participate and challenge other local towns to see if they can do better. I entered my commitment, so Atkinson has at least one entry.
Jim talked with Frank Polito and Noriko regarding putting up storyboards during the March 11th election. They approved it as long as we don't talk to people and hold them up. (Jim mentioned that we might not even have anyone there - just the signs.) As the minutes mention, Michelle (and family) will be responsible for the Energy EFficiency poster and Mike Jackson (and family) will be responsible for the Recycling poster.
I left a message for Barbara and will let you know when I hear from her whether meeting on the second Monday for April and May will be ok.
Michelle
