Denise,  Thank you for setting this up so quickly.  We are really looking forward to hosting Button-Up again.  I think the 201 will be perfect, as many attendees were asking detailed questions in the first session.  Do you have a poster file that we can modify or a logo that we can use to advertise?

Eric, thank you for volunteering to present to our region on 3/24!  We will be in a conference room with an LCD projector in it.  Please let me know what you might need.  Kimball Library is located at 5 Academy Avenue in Atkinson (right nex to the Fire Station and the Historical Society).  We are looking forward to your presentation!

Diane, looks like we're set for 3/24 at 10am.  Could you reserve the space for us officially?  Also, our next meeting will be held on 2/27/12 at 7pm in Town Hall, if you would like to attend.  (We have a conference call scheduled at 7pm, so 7:30 would actually be best, if that possible for you.)

Thank you all for your help!  We will get started promoting!

How would 10:00am to noon be? The BU201 talk runs 90 minutes to 2 hours, so that should allow for plenty of time.

I just need from you confirmation of the time, the location (venue) and a snow date or snow policy (such as "in the event of bad weather, a decision to cancel the workshop will be made by 7:00am")  and I'll add your workshop to our BUNH schedule.

Thanks Michelle and Eric!

Hi Michelle,

This is all great to hear! Perfectly fine to have the pieces in play...we know that it takes awhile to get all the players on board. In order to confirm the workshop with a presenter, I need a couple of suggested dates and times from you. Please select a snow date or snow policy to have in effect (such as: "in the event of bad weather a decision to cancel or reschedule the workshop will be made by 5:00pm)  With that info, I'll reach out to a presenter (we have several in your area). With a confirmed workshop and confirmed list of co-sponsors, your workshop gets added to our schedule (http://myenergyplan.net/buttonup/bunhSchedule.jsp) and map (http://myenergyplan.net/buttonup/map.jsp).

Thanks,

Hi There Michelle!

I'm glad you're excited about the new slate of Button Up workshops this year...we are as well!

New this year, we are looking for workshops to be co-sponsored by 3 organizations (for example, an LEC, the town's library, and a local business or it could be an LEC or businesses/organizations from neighboring towns) so that the chairs are all filled (standing room only?) and it's an informational and engaging workshop for everyone.

Please take a look at our Responsibilities of Organizers Guide that is attached. It outlines the commitment we need from the organizer, what services we can provide, and is a good first step in hosting a Button Up workshop.

After you've reviewed the document, have some co-sponsors in mind, and a few proposed dates and times, let me know and we'll go on from there!

So glad you're enthusiastic about Button Up!

Sincerely,

Denise

Hi Michelle,

Here's some Saturday dates in late March early April for the Button Up NH.  When is the committee's next meeting?  Maybe I could attend and we could talk about what we would like to do that day.

March 24th

March 31st

April  7th

April 14th

If you want an evening Thursday's is usually best.  Some dates available are March 22nd, March 29th, April 5th, April 12th.

Let me know if any of these dates work for you and I'll book the room.

Thanks,

In April, the library usually does some type of Earth Day event.  Last year we had children's posters hung in the lobby with an Earth Day theme.  We gave away reusable bags with "Tweet the Earth Well" on them.  It was a hit!

Maybe we can do something with Button Up NH in early April and use the Button Up theme instead of Earth Day.  I'm open to whatever you think will work.

Hi Diane,

Thanks Diane!  We're just starting to explore the partnerships, etc., but I think a Saturday morning is what we had in mind.  Although in speaking with a similar group in Rye, they have more luck with evening meetings.  Do have a feel for one being better in Atkinson than the other?  We wouldn't want to try for anything before the end of March in order to make sure we have time to promote.

Hi Diane,

Hope you're having a great winter!  (Certainly not a normal weather year...)

The Energy Commission is interested in holding another Button Up NH workshop in Atkinson and would like to ask the library to be a partner in the event.  They are now offering a 201 workshop with more information on do-it-yourself projects, etc.  The partnership wouldn't require more than you've done in the past - basically promotion.  Jim Garrity is also asking the Rotary Club to join as partners.  Button-Up organizers are asking for this type of collaboration so that they have a  better chance of a reasonable turnout for their efforts.

For more info ... http://myenergyplan.net/buttonup/

If you're interested, could you give us a couple of dates that you think might work well.

Thanks!

Yes it has been a very good winter, was hoping for more snow.  Joe and Tom did a great job, I had to run before all the questions were answered to get to a meeting.

The 27th at 7:00 would work just fine, talk to you then.

Elmer,

Hope you're having a great winter!  I was glad to see you registered for the NH Energy Program webinar today.  Were you able to attend?  I thought Joe and Tom did a very nice job.

First, I would like to reintroduce you to our new Town Administrator, Bill Innes.  Bill shared with us at our last Energy Commission meeting that he had met you during your audit of the Community Center.

We talked with Bill about the possibility of having someone such as yourself guide the Town and oversee the implementation of a selected set of ECMs.  We would like to discuss this with you and get an estimate of what your fees would be.  Would you be available for a conference call on Monday, February 27th at 7pm?

Best regards,

Local Energy Conference

Hi All,

The Local Energy Conference will be held on March 30th.  We requested funding to be able to attend this, so let me know if you are interested.  (We save money if we all register together!)  http://www.cleanair-coolplanet.org/les2012/index.php  I was able to attend the morning sessions last year and found all to be very informative.  There were more sessions that I would have like to have gone to, but couldn't clone myself - thus the reason it is important to have more than one attendee!

Hope you'll consider ...

Hi Michelle,
Are you looking for a week night or Saturday?  How long will the program  be?  One/two hours?
The Kimball Library would be happy to cosponsor it with you.
Diane

Thanks!
