For next week ...

Hi Everyone,

Just a reminder that we will be meeting next week on Wednesday, Sept 17th at 7pm at the Town Hall.  Please go online to the nhcarbonchallenge.org and take the challenge.  Please keep a list of the things you have committed to doing and their associated CO2 reductions.  We'll add those to the PowerPoint.

A good website to review - easy to learn tips for increasing fuel economy by 15%.  http://www.ecodrivingusa.com/  Might want to add it to the blog ...

See you on Wednesday!

Subject: Meeting on the 17th

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to verify that everyone can make the meeting on the 17th at Town Hall.  I will call and make sure there's space available.

Please make sure to go online and at least look thought the carbon challenge, www.nhcarbonchallenge.org .  We'll use your input on the PowerPoint presentation.  If everyone would like to, I can run through the presenation that night.  It takes approximately 45 -  50 minutes.

Jim, we talked about staycations this summer.  I know it's late, but NH's visitnh.gov site actually has something similar - you get a lot of retail and dining, but also several destinations, including wildlife managed areas, etc. http://www.visitnh.gov/what-to-do/search.aspx  If you think it's useful, maybe we could put a link of the blog.

RE: Next meeting

Hi,

Sorry - was quickly sending out the email and didn't review it.  I actually meant the 10th (missed the 0 key), but if the 17th works for people, let's go with that.  I will start putting up posters around the area.  The timing for a challenge with Hampstead might be ripe too.  NHCC people told me that Hampstead's library is signing up to help people take the challenge.  They will be the first library in the state to do it.  (Maybe we can get something going with Kimball Library once they're moved in.)

Wednesday works for me (9/17).  If it were to be Friday – that might be an issue.

FYI – The Green Building Open House Tour is scheduled for October 4.  We are participating on that tour again this year.  Check out nhsea.org and/or nesea.org for details.

Hi Everyone,

I just realized that we have tickets to the Red Sox next Tuesday versus Tampa Bay, so I won't be able to make the meeting.  Sorry!  The issue is that I was hoping that we could have a working session - go through the NH Carbon Challenge presentation and modify it for our use.  I have scheduled the Community Center for Wednesday, October 8th.  We also need to promote the presentation ASAP.  Any chance we could meet on Wednesday night (Sept 19th) instead?

Let me know what you think ...
