RE: Deep dive energy audit costs
Was Margaret quoting $1500-2000 per building based on the deliverable requirements of the EECGB grant (ASHRAE Level II Audit)or on doing a "deep dive" audit? I'm concerned about putting together the grant request with such a wide discrepancy. (Clay Mitchell's firm, SDES was $5 - 7,000/bldg.)
I did not get an answer from the Selectmen (Bill and Bill) regarding the requirements for going out to bid, so I called and spoke with Barbara. She said we did not need to formally put the work out to bid until we had the grant funds, but should get three to four estimates. I will also call the Jordan Institute to get an estimate from them. Any other suggestions?

Hi Electra,
Our committee is convinced that your coverage is the key to the succes of our events. Thank you for making community news important!
I've attached a press release on a workshop Atkinson is holding on 2/6 to show people how to make their homes more energy efficient. We would like to invite all people in the Carriage Town distribution area. This is a free workshop organized through Clean Air - Cool Planet and the New England Carbon Challenge. I hope I've done a good job encouraging all communities to attend - if not, please feel free to make changes.

RE: Deep dive energy audit costs
I had to submit the Intent to Submit last week. I did receive an estimate from Clay Mitchell's company and submitted it with that. Their estimates were much higher - $5,000 to 8,000/building to complete the audits as defined in the RFP. They said they would be very interested in working with us. My question, which I emailed the selectmen and town administrator about but have not received an answer, is do we need to put this out to bid at this point in the process without any guarantee of funding? What are your thoughts? Our next deadline is looming!
Good luck on the 30th. You're in a tough position, but I am confident that because of the respect that you have built in the community, you will do a great job!
Could you drop off the Button Up NH DVD you have at Town Hall for Dave to play on cable. He'll start it as soon as he has a copy.
Thanks!
Michelle

Workshops for Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block grant
I will try to make one of these workshops (next week!). It would probably be a good idea if someone else attended as well. Let me know if one works with your schedule.

Selectmen/Grant
Had to wait until 10:15 - gave them the rundown on the grant application and announced the Button Up workshop. (Like anyone was still watching at that point ...)
Jim, let me know what you range of quotes you get per building. Here's the final Energy Report.
