Michael - Sounds great!  Dave will be on around 11:30, possibly a little earlier if people don't have many questions on the main presentation.

All - we have a meeting scheduled for Monday evening.  Jim will be returning from NJ and can call in, but I wanted to see if others can attend.  We have two major things on the agenda.

  1. Promotion of the Button Up workshop
  2. Focusing our efforts for the Letter of Intent to Bid for Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant - due 1/15/10!

Please confirm your attendance.

Thanks,
Michelle

I just spoke with Dave Pall aria from Pall aria Electric this morning to confirm his presentation for Saturday, February 6th. Since this I workshop runs from 10-12, when do you think Dave might have the floor?

Dave is pretty excited about this; he is planning to wire up this control and place an actual sensor outside the library to have it read the outside temperature and have it feedback to the controller. Sounds good……

Bill, Bill and Fred,

I am hoping that you will announce a FREE workshop hosted by the Energy Committee to be held at Kimball Library on Saturday, February 6th from 10 to Noon at the next few Selectmen's meetings.  The workshop is called Button Up NH.  Atkinson was one of only 9 communities in the state selected to hold this workshop this winter!

Workshops are conducted by qualified home energy experts who will introduce homeowner-participants to the basics of home energy budgets and the value of home weatherization. Each workshop will include information on how simple household adjustments and modest investments can lead to significant energy savings over the long haul. Workshop topics will include: residential heat use and loss, the short term benefits of simple do-it-yourself weatherization, the value of a professional home energy audit, the long term benefits of extensive professional energy retrofits, and the technical and financial resources available to make it happen.

The workshop was developed in VT and now sponsored by Clean Air-Cool Planet and the NH Carbon Challenge in NH.

We hope to fill the conference room at the library and lower residents' energy bills!

Thanks for your help!

Michelle Veasey
Chair, Atkinson Energy Committee

Barbara - we would like to invite all residents in the area.  Could you forward this to your Selectmen's Office contacts in neighboring towns?
