Atkinson Energy Committee Works to "Energize" Community

The Atkinson Energy Committee has been busy encouraging energy efficiency and conservation in the the community.  Municipal energy use has been inventoried and a town energy report created and shared with town officials and department heads.  The Planning Board voted to adopt a new chapter for the Master Plan submitted be the committee addressing energy use and sustainable development.  The committee held a widely attended Energy Fair in November and now Atkinson has been chosen as one of only nine communities in the state to host Button Up NH - a home weatherization workshop sponsored by Clean Air - Cool Planet and the New England Carbon Challenge.

A press release on the workshop is attached.  We are inviting surrounding community homeowners to attend the February 6th workshop, as well.
