RE: Town of Atkinson - street lights

Dear Tim:

Thank you for the follow-up.

I'm on Atkinson's Energy Efficiency Committee. We want to investigate ways to reduce our energy bills, and street lighting is the biggest chunk of our electric bill.

We'd like to understand the details about how street lighting is billed (rate formula, etc.), who owns the street lights? Can we get a complete list of the street lights we are billed for? Are there any energy saving upgrades for street lights? Are there costs associated with upgrades? etc.

Essentially we need a detailed "Street lights 101" class. We are data driven, so the more detail, the better.

Would you also be willing to attend a future Energy Efficiency Committee meeting?

Thank you,

Subject: Town of Atkinson - street lights

Hi James, my boss Cindy Carroll asked me to contact you in regards to the Town of Atkinson's street lights. We are currently in the process of culling out some of the details on the town's street lighting charges.

I wanted to open the lines of communication with you and then determine what is the best course of action once we have established contact.

I presume at some point we will want to meet to review our discoveries and chart a course of action based on that.

Please either email me or call me at 773-6533 to let me know how you would like to proceed. Tim
