In keeping with the spirit and intent of New Hampshire's Right-to-Know Law RSA 91-A, this blog is simply a repository of communications related to the Atkinson Energy Efficiency Committee. It will include copies of emails between members, meeting minutes of public meetings, and other documents which the Committee feels should be available to the public.

STOCC training and tools

 Energy Committee,

 

 I attended the Small Town Carbon Calculator (STOCC) training last night. It’s pretty simple to use. Our hardest part will be collecting the data from the town. Once we have the energy information, then it’s just a matter of entering the data into the STOCC spreadsheet. The results are produced immediately.

 

You can get all the information that was presented at last nights by going to the Carbon Coalition website  http://www.carboncoalition.org/ and then click on “Energy Committees” on the left hand side of the page.  I have also attached the information to this email. You should have the STOCC tool (.xls), the STOCC User Manual (.pdf) and the STOCC Checklist (.pdf).

Atkinson LEC Workshop

Sounds like a great idea.  Unfortunately, we don'thave a Town Administrator right now; Steve resigned to spend more time with his family.  I will ask Sue, through Shirley, if there's someone who would like to participate.
 
When do you have time available?  Could you provide the dates that you currently have available?  One of our members travels a lot and another is also on the Timberlane School Board (Thursdays are definitely out for him.)

RPC Workshop Meeting - April 20

Hi Everyone,
 
As I mentioned earlier, we will cancel next week's Energy Committee meeting.  Based on feedback, I've scheduled Julie LeBranch of the Rockingham Planning Commission for Monday, April 20th at 7pm.  I will check with Barbara tomorrow to see if there's space at the Town Hall.  If not, I'll get a meeting room at the Community Center.  (Library didn't seem to work well since we get kicked out promptly at 8pm.)
 
Please plan on attending.  Julie will go over sample language for developing a chapter in the Atkinson Master Plan to encourage energy efficient building and maintenance, at a town, residential and business level.  We will also be working with her to get our mission statement, goals, etc. flushed out.
 
Please let me know ahead of time, if you can't attend.

Conference for Local Energy Committees

Hi Everyone,
 
I wanted to forward information to you about Carbon Coalition's First Annual Local Energy Committee Conference on June 20th.  http://www.carboncoalition.org/Conference/  I am not sure that I can attend, since Timberlane's graduation is the 19th and I will have family in town that week(end).  I hope others will be able to attend to gather ideas and information.
