I wanted to share the attached communication from Tim Noonis at Unitil in response to my request below. It seems as though before proceeding with asking Dave to get estimates, etc. that the Energy Commission should better understand the process in Atkinson. I have attached the worksheet that I shared with Tim so that hopefully we are all on the same page.

Hi Michelle, the estimates provided by your auditor are a good place holder but not sufficient for the rebate program.
Typically the customer (town of Atkinson) would receive estimates from different contractors for the proposed work…then select the winning bidder and then that bid would be attached to the specific energy efficiency application (lighting, HVAC, air compressors, variable frequency drives) and Unitil would commit the money for the rebate program before the work actually commenced.
Once the work has been completed, Unitil would come out and confirm that the work was done and then we would issue a rebate check to the town. That is a quick overview of the process. Not sure if that answers your first question.
In regards to filling out the applications, I can assist but normally we would need specific equipment with manufacturers data sheets to ensure the equipment meets the parameters of the rebate program.
Are you folks at that stage yet?

We met last year at our Energy Fair - I'm on the Atkinson Energy Commission, which Jim Garrity is also a member.
Attached is a worksheet, which idenitifies ECMs in our recent Energy Audit that we would like to consider pursuing this year. My question to you is whether the estimates received from our auditor (see page numbers in Energy Audit Report referenced in the fourth column) are sufficient to proceed with the rebate request or whether we would have to get additional estimates. I would also like to schedule time with you to gain your expertise in filling out these forms successfully. Would you have time next week? I have day or evening time available on Mon, Wed or Thurs.
